  • Earthside birth center birth is a low-risk woman who is looking for a holistic natural childbirth experience. We currently have an amazing midwife team that offers a home-like environment in our birth center with amenities including a birthing tub.

    Some factors that may make you a good candidate for an Earthside birth center birth include:

    -A low-risk pregnancy

    -A singleton pregnancy

    -A head-down baby

    -A desire for natural childbirth

    -A supportive partner or family member

    Here are some of the benefits of having a birth center birth:

    -A more relaxed and comfortable environment

    -Less chance of interventions, such as episiotomy or cesarean section

    -More control over the birth experience

    -Lower cost than hospital birth

  • Earthside birth is a safe option for people who are healthy and low-risk. We cannot accept the following conditions for out-of-hospital birth:

    -Heart disease

    -Diabetes

    -Epilepsy

    -Bleeding disorder and/or hemolytic disease

    -Sickle cell anemia

    -Hypertension

    -Twins

    -Moderate to severe renal disease

    -Current pregnancy complications, such as preeclampsia or gestational diabetes

    *It's important to note that this list is not comprehensive. If you have concerns about your eligibility for care due to a medical condition, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We want to emphasize that being on this list does not limit your access to any of our other services.

  • We work with a variety of health insurance companies. Need help verifying your benefits? Give us a call.

    We also offer a substantial hardship discount. No insurance? No problem. We are happy to consult with you on our current payment plan as we charge significantly less than hospital birth.

  • Yes, everyone is welcome to our childbirth class. Whether you are planning to have a home birth, hospital birth, or birth center birth we cover everything you need to know to have an empowered birth experience.

    Childbirth classes can help you feel more confident about your ability to give birth. You will learn about the different stages of labor and delivery, what to expect, and what your options are for pain relief. This knowledge can help you feel more in control and less anxious about the birth process.

  • While we are a self-pay practice, many of our clients can receive reimbursement from their insurance companies.

    We can provide you with information and support to help you maximize your benefits and make our services more affordable.

  • Prenatal visits with our midwives are 45 min appointments where clients can build relationships, ask questions, and get comfortable! We also include routine health checks including:

    Bloodwork, Fetal heat tones, fundal checks, urine checks, blood pressures, weights, nutrition consults, and more.

    Our Prenatal appoints follow traditional care:

    One appointment per month between 12-28 weeks

    Appointments every 2 weeks from 28-36 weeks

    Weekly appointments from 36-40 weeks

    Twice weekly appointments from 40-42 weeks

    Postpartum mom/baby dyad appointments:

    Home visit (within 45 min) 24-48 hrs

    72-96 hrs

    10 day

    Postpartum Mom/Baby Dyad Office visit:

    4 weeks

    6 weeks

  • While most insurance companies will not cover lactation services, Tricare will typically cover up to six lactation consults, including a prenatal visit.

    This means you can receive expert guidance and support for breastfeeding without additional out-of-pocket costs.

    Please verify your eligibility with your insurance provider for specific coverage details.

    However! Lactation consults are very affordable and worth any out of pocket costs! Typical lactation visits are $65.
