Mission

At Earthside we trust each woman’s intuition about her body and her baby. We partner with women to have the individualized birth experience they want while providing safe and evidence-based care.  We believe that women are strong, capable beings who deserve positive, healing, and empowering pregnancies and birth experiences.

Our Purpose is to cultivate a belief in each mother to trust that their body is made for and able to birth. We coach and support families through education and informed consent, to have an empowered pregnancy, birth, and motherhood.


Philosophy

Proactive:  

While we trust that pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding are on the wellness continuum of care, we practice proactively to minimize complications throughout the pregnancy and childbirth journey.

Individualized:  

We are able to meet the needs and wants of our clients without sacrificing safety, policies, or evidence-based care.

Empowering:  

All women deserve to feel empowered to make the choices that are best for themselves, their babies, and their families during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.

Trust:  

All women can be supported and nurtured into complete trust in their informed choices, theIr birth wishes, and most of all, in their body’s ability to birth their baby.

Safe:  

We maintain safe practices that align with state regulations, CABC guidelines, and evidence-based practices.

Evidence Based:  

There are many pathways and organizations that recommend best-practices.  We draw from AABC, ACNM, NARM, and Evidence Based Birth, as well as the deep and historic collective wisdom from all midwives.

Midwifery:  

We believe in the wellness model of pregnancy and childbirth. Pregnancy and Childbirth are normal and natural phases of a family.

Support:  

We provide unreasonable support to our clients in their journey. 

Community:  

We are cultivating a community of support, information, education, connection, and kindness that is respected in Cheyenne.
